We are the first Swiss hospital to have an ERP integration with hystrix. This has resulted in increased speed in procurement and contract tracking. Contract content is automatically transferred to the ERP system and master data maintenance is largely eliminated. When contracts are concluded via hystrix, we also receive on average 5-10% higher discounts than before – regardless of the volume of the shopping basket. The time required for the entire process has been reduced by 50-70%. With the possibilities of hystrix and the associated mutual obligations, especially in times of a fragile global economy and its supply chains, we contribute to planning security for our suppliers and also to the sustainable supply of the Swiss healthcare system.

“Covid product shortages highlighted our need to get better control of our quantity requirements, and in doing so to give firm quantity commitments to our suppliers. hystrix worked with us to onboard to the platform over 100 of our suppliers with whom we are now giving fixed quantity agreements – typically for rolling 6 month periods. That way we are able to dynamically recontract items and suppliers are able to better manage their own manufacturer requirements. The process is very fast and has reduced our overall procurement team processing costs i.e. time taken obtaining prices, negotiating, contracting and tracking deliveries vs contracted quantities, by 25%. We are integrating hystrix into our ERP system and will use the platform as the central repository for our MDD/MDR certificate requirements as well. Once integrated, we anticipate a 70% cut in process costs and 15% overall reduction in fixed costs within 2 years. We are very pleased we prioritized this project.”
